Another spot in Le Marais, and the first restaurant we went to in Paris, was an easy-going place that had the best frites (fries) and bernaise sauce* – Cafe de Musees. We knew our Paris trip was getting off to a great food start with this selection.
Rest of the items we had were good, including the escargot in mushrooms (below), but the fries and bernaise were what we kept reminiscing about.
A classic French bistro indeed.

Bernaise sauce = clarified butter emulsified in egg yolks, white wine vinegar and flavored with herbs (obviously it is super healthy ;))
