Here are the restaurants on my short list for my next trip – all were recommended by foodie friends and discussed on food blogs/message boards:
- Cafe Constant and/or Les Cocottes are owned by the same chef and are almost next door to each other. Neither take reservations, so we planned to go early (6/6:30ish) or late (9/9:30ish). Because the restaurants are near the Eiffel, we thought to time dinner to see the tower sparkle (happens for 5 minutes every hour on the hour). Alas, the best laid plans of mice and men …
- Comptoir duRelais near Odeon metro stop
- Le Chateaubriand near Goncourt metro. Has prix fixe menu and there’s a 2nd seating that doesn’t requires reservations (arrive ~8:45/9pm).
Have you been to any of these or have other suggestions to add to the list?
